| How do I get to the Galapagos from Ecuador? |
| It is the responsibility of the individual or group to arrange their own international flights to either Guayaquil or Quito, Ecuador. Unless you specifically ask for International flights. Immerse will reserve the flights to the Islands, which is included in part of the cost. |
| How much is the Park Entrance Fee and are there other expenses to be aware of? |
| The Park Fee is $100. Please ask some from Immerse if it is included with your package price or not. Otherwise you must pay $100 cash upon arrival to the Galapagos Islands, cash. Prior to coming to the Galapagos you will need to pay $10 for a transit card. |
| What should I pack? |
| Immerse has a suggested packing list. |
| What are the accommodations? |
| Depending on your length of stay, they type of yacht you choose and if you will be staying in a hotel. Most yachts are double occupancy, and we place groups in double rooms unless otherwise indicated. If you would like to stay in a single room, you would have to pay a supplement. |
| What kind of documentation do I need? |

A passport is required to travel abroad. Please include all
passport information requested on the application form. If you do
not presently have a valid passport, apply for one.

http://travel.state.gov/passport_services.html Visas are required anyone traveling to Ecuador for more than 3 months. Note that visa fees and passports are not included in the cost. Please check for the nearest consular office for visa information, or contact Immerse for assistance. |
| What is the currency and electricity like? Currency-US dollar, bring sufficient cash in small denominations, since at times it will be difficult to use $50 or $100 bills. Credit cards and travelers checks are not always accepted. There are ATMS in Santa Cruz Island and San Cristobal Island. You can ask for a cash advance from the Banco Pacifico with a copy of your passport and your credit card. (you will need to leave a copy of your passport in the bank) Electricity is 110 Watts. |
| Do I need to get additional insurance? Immerse does not offer international insurance. Immerse asks that all participants have travel insurance prior to coming to Ecuador. Please contact your insurance carrier or consult the web. |
