As seen here in this photo, the dominant bull sea lion keeps watch over his harem of female sea lions. This bull maintains this position as dominant bull until another bull decides to challenge him. The bull can always be identified by his size and the large bump on his head. While snorkeling please make sure you know where the bull is at all times, because they have been known to be aggressive.
