About 500 flamingos are found in lagoons throughout the Galapagos which include lagoons in Isabela Island and Santa Cruz Island. Most flamingos are seen eating with their heads in the water eating shrimp, minute crabs and water-boatman and depending on what they eat some flamingos are a darker pink than others.
